Mark is a co-founder of Voltig and the CEO of Cala Capital Africa (formerly Neu Capital Africa), a capital matching platform which works with high quality corporate finance advisors to connect African companies with sophisticated investors to facilitate capital raising in the $10m to $100m range.

Mark is independent investment advisor to private equity fund, Agri-Vie and a registered Business Rescue Practitioner with hands-on experience as a CEO of both JSE-listed and unlisted companies, and in turnaround situations.  He is a former senior executive at Richemont, Remgro & head of investment evaluations at VenFin

Mark has provided investment, organisational and strategic advice to a wide range of businesses in the UK, Europe, Turkey, Switzerland, and Africa, including large corporates, private equity investors, development financial institutions, and private businesses and entrepreneurs.

Mark has a BA LLB (Stellenbosch), an M.Comm cum laude (UCT) and Post Grad Diplomas in Maritime Law (UND) & Futures Studies cum laude (USB).

As a hobby, Mark managed the Springbok Nude Girls, a leading SA rock band (1995-2001).
